I met this guy at the beginning of the school year in university and we became friends at first.

However when I asked him to another date to go skating he said we should just be friends. But we still saw each other during the holydays, along with other friends, one of which likes her too.

Take on within your boyfriend's circle of friends

You're doing all the right things. You are within his circle of friends and have the opportunity to spend quality time with him.

Despite for the fact that he has not seen you as potential girlfriend as yet I would not loose hope by what he said initially.

Make closer bond with your boyfriend

I believe that the more time that you spend with a guy the more closer a bond you will form. However I believe that this will only be possible if you do this on a one on one basis and not go out as a group.

If you are persuasive enough you should be able to, or at least try to, take him out without the others around. Reassure him that you will go out only as friends, which it shall be.

Spend quality time with your boyfriend

Bottom line: When you do get an opportunity make the most of it and show him a good time. Don't try anything during those dates just keep it casual and light.
